AAE Scholarship
congratulations!
2019 Scholarship recipients
Thanks to all teachers, counselors, and principals who submitted recommendations. We were able to identify two high school seniors from Philadelphia Public Schools this year. They will each receive $1,000 dollars scholarship to help them pay for college costs.
What is it
AAE's Scholarship was designed to assist Asian-American high school seniors in the Philadelphia area with their first year college expenses, such as textbooks and other necessary supplies. AAE has been awarding between $1,000 to $2,000 each year to three or four Asian-American high school seniors, depending on the donations we receive, as well as the funds we raise.
Scholarship announcement is sent to the school's principal and counselors every year during January. Applications are accepted until late April. The AAE Scholarship Committee review the applications, interview the selected final applicants, and announce the recipients in early May. Scholarship recipients are awarded the scholarship as they are invited to the AAE's Annual Fundraising Banquet in May. Recipients' parents, teachers, counselors, and principals are invited to the banquet to celebrate their child's and/or student's success. |
